SEC-08 / Deleting your data

Deleting your data

Gelopard is the trade name of Hedvig Holding AB, which publishes Wake Alone, Dibs, Skugga, Universes, Takapa, Deep Drop, Tillsvidare, Tussock and Kodsoffan. None of them have accounts, so there is no profile to close. What can be deleted is listed per app below, together with what cannot be and why.

The full picture of what each app collects is in the privacy policy.

SEC-08.1 / How to ask

Write to contact@gelopard.com and say which app you mean. That is the whole procedure: there is no form to fill in.

Because none of the apps have accounts, an email address on its own usually cannot be matched to anything held. Two things help:

If you sent feedbackInclude the email address you gave with it. That address is the only thing linking a submission to you.
If you bought somethingInclude the Google Play or App Store order number from your receipt.

You get an answer within 30 days, the deadline the GDPR sets. If nothing held can be matched to you, the answer says so plainly instead of pretending something was deleted.

SEC-08.2 / Wake Alone
On the device: delete it yourselfEpisode progress and scars, cleared by uninstalling the app. Never sent anywhere.
Anonymized play data: kept, but anonymousOn by default; switched off from the About panel in the app or the footer on the web. No device id, IP address or account identifier is included, so no individual record exists to look up against a request. Finished-story records are deleted automatically after 12 months, counter data points after three months (only weekly totals are kept longer), and turning the switch off stops any further sending.
Purchases: partly deletableStory-pack purchases follow the same split: an anonymous RevenueCat record we can delete with the order number, over a store transaction we cannot.
SEC-08.3 / Dibs

Dibs is web-only and keeps no personal data, so there is nothing to request. Its practices are published where it is played: dibs.urdr.dev/privacy.html

SEC-08.4 / Skugga
On the device: delete it yourselfLevel progress, stars, settings, tutorial state and the thumbs-up or thumbs-down you can give a level. Settings, then Reset progress, then Erase clears all of it, and uninstalling the app does the same. None of it is ever sent anywhere, so there is nothing to request.
Feedback: deleted on requestIf you used the feedback form: your message, the email address if you gave one, and the browser string recorded with the submission. Deleted on request, and deleted automatically 30 days after it was sent whether or not you ask.
Counters: kept, but anonymousWhich level was finished and whether it was solved, whether a day was a first session or a return, and whether the page hit an error. No account, no device id and no session id, so no record can be traced back to a person, by us included. That leaves a deletion request nothing to act on. The data points are deleted automatically after three months; only weekly totals are kept. The Settings screen turns the sending off for good.
Purchases: partly deletableThe unlock is recorded against an anonymous, randomly generated app-user id held by RevenueCat. With the order number we can delete that record, which also ends Restore Purchases for it, so it is worth being sure. The underlying transaction belongs to Google Play or Apple and is kept under their policies and our accounting obligations, which we cannot override.
SEC-08.5 / Universes
Not released: nothing to requestUniverses is still in development and is not published anywhere yet. It has no accounts and no telemetry, and its once-per-launch update check sends nothing that identifies you, so there is nothing held about you to delete.
SEC-08.6 / Takapa
Nothing to requestTA-KA-PA collects nothing at all, in the browser and in the Google Play app alike: no accounts, no telemetry, no purchases and no saved progress, and once the page has loaded it makes no requests. The score belongs to the round being played and is gone when the round ends, so there is nothing held about you to delete. This paragraph is revisited if the game ever gains an update check or a saved high score.
SEC-08.7 / Deep Drop
Not released: nothing to requestDeep Drop is still in development and is not published anywhere yet. Progress and settings stay on your device, and its once-per-launch update check sends nothing that identifies you, so there is nothing held about you to delete.
SEC-08.8 / Tillsvidare
On the device: delete it yourselfThe name you type on the start screen, the week in progress, your career, the sound setting, the random player id and the offers and notices you have declined or opened are what Tillsvidare keeps, in the browser's or the app's local storage. Clearing the site's data in the browser, or the app's data (or uninstalling it) on a phone, removes it.
Synced save: erase it from the gameIf you linked your devices, a copy of the save lives at sync.gelopard.com under your player id. Open the start screen, "Other devices", and choose "erase synced data": that deletes the copy, the linked-device list and the record of which packs the id owns, and gives the device a new player id. It is immediate and cannot be undone. Without any linked device left the copy cannot be reached, by you or by us: it holds only the random id, the save and the pack flags, and is deleted on its own twelve months after it was last used. A request by email cannot be matched without the player id, which the game shows as the "support id" in the app.
Purchases: RevenueCat, by the same idA purchase in the app is recorded at RevenueCat under the player id. Ask for it to be erased through the contact address with that id (the "support id" in the app); the purchase itself stays with Apple or Google, who are the merchant of record.
Counters: nothing to requestThe counters carry no id of any kind, so there is no record of yours to find or delete. The switch at the foot of the start screen stops any further sending.
SEC-08.9 / Tussock
Nothing to requestTussock collects nothing: no accounts, no telemetry and no purchases, and once the page has loaded it makes no requests. The only thing it keeps is a note in your browser that you have seen its start screen, which clearing the site's data removes. There is nothing held about you to delete.
SEC-08.10 / Kodsoffan
Not released: nothing to requestKodsoffan is still in development and is not published anywhere yet. It has no accounts and no telemetry, so there is nothing held about you to delete.
